David Caffery

President

David Caffery designs and delivers a range of quality cultural projects in Canberra. Through his cultural development company, Dionysus, David’s team design, communicate and manage places to become meaningful destinations. They are currently the City Place Managers for the city precinct of Canberra, and cultural event managers for Molonglo’s emerging precinct, Dairy Road.

Driven by contemporary philosophies of culture and meaning, he uses skills across programming, place management, event management, arts administration, place visioning, branding, communications, hospitality, and government regulation to stimulate passion and critical response.

His work creates more exciting places to live and visit. It supports harmonious communities who nurture creativity and, over time, greater existential meaning. This heals social fragmentation and its many negative impacts to nurture places that people love.
