CBR Venue Capacity Exemptions Now Available

Today's announcements from the ACT government continue to improve live music and entertainment venue viability. Venues seeking 3 people per 4 square metres (or otherwise) are now able to apply for a COVID capacity exemtion through the COVID safe events portal. We encourage all entertainment venues to make an exemption application. In line with today’s announcement, exemptions coming into effect from this Friday 12 November will be eligible for application. Each case will be reviewed before a final sign-off from the Chief Health Officer.

If venues have previously had an approved standing exemption from ACT Health pre-lockdown, they could consider applying for new standing exemption immediately. Venues who haven't had a standing exemption are welcome to apply for a schedule of events in the first application, and this is advisable prior to applying for a standing exemption.
