Kevin Rudd and Labor Government announces $560,000 for live music

Kevin Rudd and Labor Government announces $560,000 for live music.

The funding, rolled out over three years, will support the creation of a new National Live Music Office.

Arts Minister Tony Burke MP has said that The National Live Music Office will partner with governments, local councils, communities, businesses, musicians and songwriters on how to lift barriers to ensure more acts can perform at venues around the country.

The Office will be administered by the Australasian Performing Rights Association (APRA) and has the support of some big, Australian, Live Music Ambassadors.
